Providing Access to Trans Healthcare (PATH)
Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals face many barriers in accessing gender-affirming providers and services. The mission of our Providing Access to Trans Healthcare (PATH) program mirrors that of our organization: to improve the health of TGD individuals by removing barriers, such as cost, and increasing the availability of competent providers and resources.
Increasing Direct Care Access
The PATH program offers financial assistance to transgender and gender-diverse members of the Charlotte metro area for general and gender-affirming healthcare. The current program offers free case management, mental health services, medical care, and limited prescription coverage. For more details about the program, click here for FAQs.
To be eligible for PATH funding you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Transgender or Gender Diverse
- 16 years of age or older
- Resident of Mecklenburg County (*Residents of Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, and Union Counties in NC, and Chester, Lancaster and York Counties in SC may also apply) *Limited funding available for those residing outside Mecklenburg county
