Dr. Muehl has been working with trans and gender diverse clients since 2004 when she was a counselor in training at Virginia Commonwealth University. After completing her doctorate in 2009 she joined the Counseling Center staff at UNC Charlotte. She launched a private practice in 2014 at which time she became a member of the Charlotte Transgender Healthcare group. Over the years, Dr. Muehl has become a specialist in providing affirming, collaborative, and informed therapy to gender diverse clients. Dr. Muehl honors each client’s lived experiences and works well with clients whose identities may differ from her own.
